Over the last several years, more and more companies from around the world are focusing on keeping their employees healthy, it is a trend called corporate wellness. Multiple studies have shown a relationship between employee health and business productivity. At the World Medical Tourism Congress Taiwan this month, Breckon Jones, director of Global Benefits for American Express, will share the opportunities and challenges he has experienced in order to achieve global corporate wellness.
As director of Global Benefits for American Express, Mr. Jones is responsible for American Express’ global employee health benefits and onsite health services, including the company’s global wellbeing program. American Express has been granted several awards and external recognitions for its Healthy Living and wider Benefits programs, and Mr. Jones has led this work in several capacities since joining American Express in 2010.
Prior to this he worked for Unilever, where he held the role of Employee Health and Vitality Manager, pioneering a program model for workplace health enhancement that was cited by the UK Government as the gold standard for population health promotion.
