Victor Tringali will Present Successful Strategies in Disease Management at 8th EHBC

Victor Tringali headshotVictor Tringali, Founder and Managing Partner of Healthy Human Capital, will present at the upcoming Employer Healthcare & Benefits Congress as part of their dedication to bringing the best speakers and latest information in the industry. The annual conference will take place in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. from September 25 – 28 and expects up to 2,500 attendees from across the globe to networks and discover the latest in the employer benefits and healthcare industries.

As the Executive Director of University Wellness, Victor developed a nationally acclaimed wellness initiative aimed at improving the health and productivity among faculty and staff members. The program gained recognition from the American Heart Association, the Wellness Counsel of America and the Philadelphia Business Journal, and was instrumental in helping reduce healthcare expenditures by an estimated $45 million over five years, while reducing Drexel’s health care trend to zero. In 2014, Mr. Tringali was honored with the American Heart Association Innovation award for health promotion and was subsequently summoned to serve as a key presenter for the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health.

Mr. Tringali recently founded Healthy Human Capital, a consulting firm dedicated to helping employers build high-performing, healthy workplaces through the incorporation of evidence-based wellness programming. He has consulted and presented to numerous organizations, including the University of the Sciences, Bucks County Community College, Upper Main Line YMCA, American Heart Association, and Independence Blue Cross.

Mr. Tringali hold a master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion, as well as a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and is a member of American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), and the American Public Health Association (APHA).

At the EHBC, Mr. Tringali will present on the topic “Self-funding and Diabetes: Successful Strategies in Disease Management & Opportunities for Cost Containment” alongside Karen White, Assistant Vice President, Health Care & Exchange Solutions at Sun Life Financial. This panel presentation will show the corporate benefits of wellness programs and cost containment strategies for self-funded employers. The session will address the health factors associated with diabetes and poor disease management which can result in catastrophic health conditions. It is crucial for employers to understand the different approaches available to employers when developing and implementing wellness programs. This is even more important for employers who are self-funded.
