Kornelia Fiausch, RN, MAS, Kornelia Fiausch has worked in health care for more than 30 years. She has 20 years’ experience as Director of Nursing services with specific training in intensive care and staff leadership. She earned a Degree in the Master of Advanced Studies in Hospital Management from the University of Economics of Vienna, a Certificate in Nursing Management from the University of Vienna, Mödling and a Certificate for Hospital Management from the University of Economics of Vienna.
She is currently the European Representative for Joint Commission International. In this role, she has presented at conferences and supported hospitals in the region. She has consulted internationally in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. She has also presented at several of Joint Commission International’s education programs such as the Practicum and Accreditation Update.
Kornelia will present at the 8th World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress on the topics of a Culture of Safety and Joint Commission International Patient Safety Goals. She will discuss how Joint Commission International accreditation will create organizational culture change with the goal of improved patient and staff safety and how to improve and sustain organization processes.
