Elizabeth Greenbaum’s job is to keep people healthy, and what a challenge that can be these days when many of us are working 60-70 hour weeks. As assistant director of the Global Business Group on Health (GBGH), she oversees important initiatives related to global wellness, health metrics, tobacco cessation and cost management. Additionally, she manages the Business Group’s Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyle’s Global Distinction award program. At the World Medical Tourism Congress Taiwan this month, Greenbaum will have the opportunity to spread the word about corporate wellness to the other side of the globe.
Greenbaum joined the Business Group in June 2005 as a program analyst and worked on a broad spectrum of domestic U.S. health projects related to pharmaceuticals, immunizations, chronic disease management, clinical preventive service coverage, and measuring return-on-investment (ROI). She also managed the Business Group’s 5-year cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Prior to joining the Business Group, Greenbaum worked primarily on issues related to U.S. publicly-financed health care.
