Here is a first look at some of the speakers who will be in LA to inform and inspire you:
Sanchez is the CMO Prevention and Chief of the Center for Health Metrics and Evaluation for the American Heart Association. He also serves as Chair of the Texas Public Health Coalition (TPHC) and the National Commission on Prevention Priorities (NCPP). He co-chairs the Dallas Health and Wellness Alliance for Children. At this year’s EHBC, Dr. Sanchez will help present on “A Fresh Approach to Biometric Screening”
Karen has over 20 years of experience managing corporate health and wellness plans. She is currently Health & Welfare Manager at Sabre GLBL, a global travel technology company with 4,500 employees in the U.S. and has a vibrant wellness program with 98% employee participation. She will “Share Best Practices for Medical Plan Audits” at the EHBC.
Mitch is the Employee Wellness Administrator at Cedars-Sinai Health System. With 14 years of proven success in behavioral health interventions and a keen understanding of best practices, he has been strategically building a top performing and innovative worksite wellness program. Mitch will present on how to tackle the “Topics We Pretend to Not Talk About on the Clock” in order to acknowledge the whole person.
Melissa has over 15 years of experience in human resources and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP). She will tell attendees that “Your Employers are Smarter Than You Think” in terms of benefits selection.
Jessica has been Wellness Program Manager for scan source since 2011 where she has grown the program and improved health awareness among employees. At the EHBC, Jessica will tell attendees “Why Simplicity is Key” when it comes to health management programs.
Layman is the President of Health & Life at Gilsbar where he is responsible for Gilsbar’s corporate direction, vision, marketing, and sales strategy. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Association of Health Plans. Mr. Layman will present on “Why Simplicity is Key” with Jessica Howard.
Doug as over 20 years experience working in the health insurance industry, 15 of which are with Lovitt & Touche where he oversees the benefits operations of insurance brokerages in the United States. He is an expert in healthcare reform and currently manages Lovitt & Touches’ Private Exchange, ClearPath Prime. He will discuss how the “Changing Benefits Landscape Starts with You.”
As CEO of the leading healthcare literacy company (Quizzify), author of several best-selling books on wellness and a best-selling trivia game, Al Lewis brings unique expertise and humor to the job of Quizmeister. Mehb is an actuary at the Chicago office of Milliman. Mehb spent nearly thirteen years as an employee benefits consultant to several mid-market employers where he assisted on benefit design, flexible benefits pricing, vendor procurement, data analytics, evaluating private exchanges and understanding the impact of health care reform on employee benefit programs. He will share “New Developments in Medical Stop Loss.”
Wendy Troxel is a senior behavioral and social scientist at the RAND Corporation and an adjunct professor of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on understanding the links between close relationships and sleep, and how this relationship may influence couples’ health and functioning. She will answer the question “How Much Is Employee Sleep Deprivation Costing Your Company?”
Joseph Callahan, Ph.D. serves as the Director of Fitness Services for Phillips 66. Joseph received his doctorate from Texas Tech University where he investigated educational models and their impact on the adoption and adherence to physical activity. He will share secrets about “Driving Engagement with Adult Education and an Integrated Corporate Environment.”
Katy Keene is a health and wellness enthusiast both in her personal life and at the workplace where she enjoys the opportunity to support and share her passion through her position at Crowley Maritime Corporation. Her topic of discussion will be “Developing the Relationship Between Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Health & Well-being for an Integrated Culture.”
Ashley leads Provant’s clinical teams with medical oversight on health strategy and all clinical practices. He oversees all wellness programs and services developed for employers and their employees nationwide. His 22 years of medical practice includes primary care, military medicine, and emergency medicine. He will share “A Fresh Approach to Biometric Screenings” with attendees along with Dr. Eduardo Sanchez.
Rosanna Ouellette-Pesicka is Chief People Officer at Antea Group, an international engineering, and environmental consulting firm. Her passion lies in their “Work Well, Live Well” wellness program that focuses their tools, benefits, and resources on Mind, Body, and Life. She will share tips on “Making Digital Health Work” by addressing mental health.
Dale Cook is CEO and Co-Founder of Learn to Live, an engagement and consumer-driven healthcare company that provides targeted online programs and tools for people suffering from mental health problems. At the EHBC, his topic is “Making Digital Health Work: Addressing Mental Health in the Workplace” which he will present with Rosanna Ouellette-Pesicka.
