Dr. Sanjay Prasad, Founder and CEO of SurgiPrice will be a speaker at the upcoming World Medical Tourism & Global Healthcare Congress taking place September 27 – 29 in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Prasad will present on the topic of Marketplace Competition in Healthcare: A Powerful Solution to Drastically Lower Health Care Costs for Corporations with Self-Insured Health Plans. This session will be at 7:00 am on Tuesday, September 29 and will include a continental breakfast.
Sanjay Prasad is a world-renowned Neurotologic surgeon with 22 years of experience. He is widely published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and is the author of multiple chapters in authoritative texts in the field of Neurotology.
He is also the Founder of Metropolitan NeuroEar Group and is the Founder and Managing Partner of Tower Oaks Surgery Center.
In 2007, Dr. Prasad pioneered the concept of price bundling in Neurotology, offering this to his patients with no insurance or high deductible health plans. Eventually, this idea was applied to multiple specialties, creating a competitive marketplace where surgeons now have to compete not only on the basis of bundled pricing but also surgeon-specific, procedure-specific quality parameters.
Dr. Prasad founded SurgiPrice™, a healthcare technology company that developed a bidding platform that forces surgeons, dentists and radiology facilities to compete for patients. SurgiPrice™ has championed use of the bidding platform to foster market competition in the healthcare landscape. Dr. Prasad will lead a workshop entitled, “Marketplace Competition in Healthcare: A Powerful Solution to Drastically Lower Healthcare Costs for Corporations with Self-Funded Health Plans”, and demonstrate how employers can reward their employees with more choices and transparency.
