Dr. Hiranyakas is an experienced academic colorectal surgeon and is an instructor of surgery at Prince of Songkla University. He was involved in both the undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and served as assistant professor of surgery at Prince of Songkla University in 2007. He also held an academic appointment as instructor of surgery at School of Medicine and Dentistry, James Cook University (JCU), Queensland, Australia in 2009.
He completed his surgical training in National University Hospital in Singapore in 2004 and continued his education in Advanced Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery in 2007 and Robotic Colorectal Surgery in 2011.
His unique training experiences from across the globe instilled in Dr. Hiranyakas a broad range of colorectal procedures for cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and functional colorectal conditions.
Dr. Hiranyakas has authored numerous publications and book chapters while at Prince of Songkla University, James Cook University and Cleveland Clinic Florida. He is also an invited reviewer for the Disease of Colon and Rectum (DCR). Dr. Hiranyakas is also a current membership of American Society of Colon and Rectum Surgeons (ASCRS). He currently works as a full-time colorectal surgeon at Bangkok Hospital Phuket, serving local and international patients with professional skills and excellent service.
