Healthcare professionals have the need to keep up with market trends, policies and practices. Since medical tourism is ever evolving, now you can make sure you are up to date and get CME credits while you are at it! These courses were created in order to educate, decrease risk and improve patient treatment outcomes.
The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has teamed up with the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and the Medical Tourism Association in order to provide the credits. The best part is that the credit lectures also count toward the Certified Medical Tourism Specialist® program. This great opportunity is possible because there is a high demand and high interest for the topic of medical tourism.
A range of topics will be covered granting CME credits. Classes such as “Creating a Healthcare Cluster”, “How to Incorporate Technology and Staffing into your Medical/Surgical Travel Healthcare Practice” and “Applying a Proactive Risk Assessment Approach to Patient Safety”. These topics will be offered during the MTA’s annual conference. The conference will take place in Las Vegas, NV November 3-6.
