HealthMine, Inc. and Groom Law Group today announced that they will co-present a webinar entitled “New EEOC Proposed Wellness Regulations and Next Steps for Employers” on May 22 at 1:00pm EDT/10:00am PST. Hosted by the Employer Healthcare and Benefits Congress, the webinar will be co-presented by Bryce Williams, CEO of HealthMine and Seth Perretta, Principal at Groom Law Group.

Participants will learn:

  • What are the (proposed) new federal rules when it comes to wellness programs? Specifically, the presentation will cover the key elements of the EEOC’s new guidelines including:

    • Voluntary standard for programs that include a disability-related inquiry or medical examination, including a new maximum incentive threshold.
    • Confidentiality of medical records.

  • What are the immediate considerations for program sponsors as they implement new or continue existing wellness programs?
  • Key consumer attitudes about and desires for wellness programs.

  • What to do if you’re in the process of designing a new wellness program.
  • How to proceed if you already have a wellness program in place.

On April 16, 2015, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) issued a long-awaited proposed regulation (“Proposed Regulation”) with respect to employer-sponsored wellness programs and the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”).
