It is a great pleasure to participate in the upcoming 4th World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress, which will take place on October 25th -28th in Chicago, Illinois, USA. I will be part of a panel session with other benefits managers discussing Case Studies on Implementing Medical Tourism into Employer Sponsored Health Insurance Plans.
As the Director of Benefits at American Apparel, my primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the company’s employee benefits programs for approximately 8,000 employees in the United States. I am also the plan administrator for the Self-funded Medical Plan and Benefits Programs. Please click here to read my full biography.
During the past year, I have traveled abroad visiting various international facilities to experience medical tourism firsthand. I am gathering information about how medical tourism can offset the medical exposure on US based employers pending the effects of healthcare reform by 2014. Please watch an interview I did with the Medical Tourism Magazine.
I’m excited to be a part of this year’s congress and to share my experience about medical tourism and how American Apparel will incorporate it into our employee benefits plan. I hope to see you at the Congress!
